Refund policy

Return Eligibility:

At Sew Privy, we want you to love your hair extensions, but if you’re not completely satisfied, we’re here to help. Our policy is designed to offer a straightforward process, while also maintaining the hygiene and quality of our products.

Eligible Returns:

  • Products must be unused and unopened.
  • Hair extensions must be in their original packaging with all tags, seals, and protective materials intact.
  • Returns must be initiated within 14 days from the date you receive your order.
  • We only accept returns on full-priced products. Sale or promotional items are non-returnable.

Non-Eligible Returns:

  • Opened or used hair extensions (i.e., hair that has been installed, styled, cut, or altered in any way).
  • Custom orders, clearance items, or final sale items.
  • Products that are damaged due to improper handling, care, or installation.

Return Process:

If you wish to return your product, please follow these simple steps:

  1. Contact Us:
    Email our customer service team at hair.info@sewprivy.com with your order number and reason for return. Be sure to include any relevant photos if the product is damaged or defective. We will review your request and send you a Return Authorization (RA) number and return instructions.

  2. Prepare Your Return Package:
    Place the item(s) in the original packaging, including all tags, seals, and accessories. Ensure the product is securely packed to prevent any damage during return shipping.

  3. Ship the Return:
    Return shipments must be sent to the address provided by our customer service team. We recommend using a trackable shipping service or shipping insurance to ensure the safe return of your item. You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or we made an error in processing your order.

  4. Inspection:
    Once we receive the returned product, it will be inspected to ensure it meets our return criteria. If everything is in order, we will proceed with your refund or exchange request.

Refund Process:

Once your return has been approved, we will process your refund within 7-10 business days of receiving the item. Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment used during checkout. Please note the following:

  • Refund Amount:
    Your refund will be for the purchase price of the product, excluding the original shipping charges. If you received free shipping, the shipping cost will be deducted from your refund.

  • Processing Time:
    Please allow up to 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your account, depending on your bank or payment provider. Refunds may be delayed during peak periods.

  • Return Shipping Costs:
    Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer, except in cases where the product was defective, damaged, or an error was made in processing your order. In those cases, we will issue a prepaid return label.

Exchanges:

We currently do not offer direct exchanges. If you would like to exchange an item for a different style, color, or length, please return the item and place a new order for the desired product. If your return qualifies for a refund, it will be processed as described above, and you can purchase your replacement item separately.

Damaged or Defective Items:

If your hair extensions arrive damaged or defective, please contact us immediately at hair.info@sewprivy.com. We ask that you provide detailed information and photos of the issue to help us resolve the situation promptly.

  • Damaged During Shipping: If the product is damaged in transit, please keep all packaging materials and take photos of the damage. This helps us file a claim with the carrier. We will send you a replacement or offer a full refund, depending on the situation.
  • Defective Products: If you receive a defective product (e.g., hair that is improperly processed, shedding excessively, or not as described), we will either issue a replacement or refund based on your preference.

Cancellations:

Orders can only be canceled before they are shipped. Once an order has been processed and shipped, it cannot be canceled. If you need to cancel an order, please contact us within 24 hours of placing your order. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

Important Notes:

  • Restocking Fees: In rare cases, we may apply a restocking fee for certain returned items. You will be notified if this applies to your return.
  • International Returns: International customers are responsible for return shipping fees and any customs duties/taxes associated with the return.
